This is my Grandfather. His name is Andreas Sevart Mathieson. He was born in Norway about the 1850's. and worked on a whaling ship. I would like to trace him or his ancesters. Some of them went to Dakota in the USA. He retired to Cape Town South Africa and remarried and had a son called Robert

My grandfather Andreas during his whaling days landed in Grimsby Lincolnshire England. And met and married his first wife Alice Mary Smith. I believe the daughter of a butcher. They had sons and a daughter. Harry my father/ Andrew/ Annie. I know Annie my aunt went to Dakota to meet Andeas's brothers but came back to England.
